The three companies cover the upstream, middle and downstream OLED lighting industry chain, with the goal of replacing traditional lighting and developing high-speed, uniform OLED film-forming technology. During this period, OLED lighting products with Ra>95, luminous efficiency>35lm/W and life of 25,000 hours were developed. Matsushita Electric Works and Idemitsu Kosan are developing high-efficiency OLED lighting under this plan.
It is reported that the new company plans to develop 8cm × 8cm OLED panel size first, and began to sell lighting OLED panels in mid-2011, the sales amount has not been announced yet.
