2016 Baidu Yunzhi Summit Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering - Li Deyi

On November 30th, the first Baidu Yunzhi Summit will be officially held at the Beijing International Convention Center. The summit invited a large number of high-level participants, Baidu VR community will be introduced to attend the 2016 Baidu Yunzhi Summit heavyweight guests.

Li Deyi is an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, a member of the Eurasian Academy of Sciences, and a command automation and artificial intelligence expert. He graduated from Nanjing Institute of Technology in 1967 and received a doctorate from Heriott University in Edinburgh in 1983. Currently serving as a researcher at the 61st Institute of General Staff, Honorary Chairman of the Chinese Command and Control Society, and Chairman of the China Artificial Intelligence Society, he has won 9 awards at the national, provincial and ministerial level. He has won 10 invention patents and published more than 130 papers. He has published 5 books in Chinese and 3 monographs in English. He is currently Dean of School of Computer Science and Technology, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications. In May 2016, he was appointed Dean of Robotics College of Beijing Union University.

Personal experience

Graduated from Radio Engineering Department of Nanjing Institute of Technology (now Southeast University) in 1967;

He received his Ph.D. from the University of Edinburgh in England in 1983; he then joined the work;

1994-1995 studied at Harvard University;

In 1996, he received the rank of Major General;

In 1999, he was elected academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering;

In 2004, he was elected member of the International Academy of Eurasian Sciences;

In 2008, he was appointed adjunct professor of Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications and dean of the School of Computer Science.

In May 2016, he was appointed Dean of Robotics College of Beijing Union University.

Academic Research

Computer Engineering, Uncertain Artificial Intelligence, Cognitive Physics, Networked Data Mining, Internet Computing.

Academician Li Deyi proposed the "Control Flow-Data Flow" graph pair theory at the earliest time internationally, describing the correlation between time and space, and provided a set of implementation methods such as basic graphics primitives, graph pairings, connection rules, trigger mechanisms, and design languages. Used for structural optimization of complex systems. He mapped the relational data model to predicate calculus, proved the equivalence of symbolic problem solving in relational algebraic operations and logical reasoning, and developed it with logic programming language PROLOG. He realized a relational database management system and published the monograph "A Prolog. "Database System"; in turn extended this result to the field of fuzzy relational databases and published the monograph "A Fuzzy Prolog Database". These two monographs were collected by many university libraries around the world and are widely cited.

He proposed the theory of representation and reasoning of uncertainty knowledge, and used his own cloud model to express the randomness and fuzziness of the concept, and the correlation between randomness and fuzziness, and to use expectations, entropy, and hyper-entropy as digital features. Quantitative and quantitative conversion of the concept, the reasoning strategy and calculation method of simultaneous activation of multiple qualitative rules formed by the cloud model are given, and the flexible switching of various dynamic balance postures of the three-stage inverted pendulum is successfully achieved. The paper on cloud control of inverted pendulum won the Distinguished Paper Award at the 14th World Association for Automatic Control in 1999. This is the first time that Chinese scholars have won this award since the establishment of the World Federation of Automatic Controls for 42 years. In 2002, the cloud generator obtained national invention patents.

In 2005, the monograph "Uncertain Artificial Intelligence" was published, and in 2007 the English version "Artificial Intelligence with uncertainty" was published by CRC.

Academician Li Deyi has long been committed to command automation system engineering and military informationization work. He has edited 7 technical books and has trained more than 40 doctoral and master's degree students. In 1990, the Ministry of Personnel granted outstanding contributions to returned overseas students. In 1991, he was granted special government allowances. In 1992, he was awarded the title of Young Expert with Outstanding Contribution by the State. In 2005, he was awarded the Military Major Contribution Award and the National Ho Leung Ho Lee Foundation Award. He has published more than 140 papers, published 3 monographs in Chinese and 2 monographs in English.
