Loom is about to release three side chains, which can be used for token transactions through Plasma Cash

Zombie Battleground, a card game based on blockchain, is known for its scalability. The developer of the game, Loom Network, has always taken the lead in the Ethereum ecosystem. Loom provides a variety of software development tools for developers to build scalable blockchain games and social network applications. Recently, the Loom team announced that it will release three new side chains: PlasmaChain, GameChain and SocialChain, which will further allow the team to gain a leading position in this regard.

The Loom team released ZombieChain earlier this year. This side chain uses a DPoS consensus mechanism, which relies on community members to elect agents to verify and package blocks.

Loom is about to release three side chains, which can be used for token transactions through Plasma Cash

On ZombieChain, anyone can run their own DAPP as long as they pay a monthly fee. In this way, game players do not have to pay for each action (transaction) like ordinary blockchain DAPP. This approach of Loom is similar to the service model of traditional websites.

PlasmaChain is an improved and updated version of ZombieChain. When the Loom team began to develop Zombie Battleground on the ZombieChain sidechain platform, the team began to realize that this sidechain had the potential to grow even greater. This prompted the team to gradually develop this side chain into a center that connects Ethereum and conducts token transactions through Plasma Cash.

James Martin Duffy, the co-founder of Loom, described PlasmaChain as an Ethereum bridge with its own decentralized exchange. He believes that other side chains can use PlasmaChain for faster and cheaper transactions without directly communicating with the Ethereum mainnet.

Plasma is a solution that uses off-chain transactions to expand the performance of Ethereum transactions. With this technology, transactions do not need to go through the Ethereum main network, and are only completed on the side chain, so the speed will be faster and the gas cost will be lower.

Vitalik, the founder of Ethereum, reviewed Plasma Cash. It modified the Plasma system without verifying every block. Instead, it uses "coin ID" as the proof of blockchain transaction history, which eliminates the need for every area in history. The cumbersome steps of block verification. This improvement makes it impossible for each token to be divided or merged, thus avoiding double-spending attacks.

The Plasma Cash system implemented by Loom focuses on ERC-721 tokens. It is unclear what is the connection between this system and the Plasma Cash model conceived by Vitalik.

The PlasmaChain of the Loom team is a major upgrade of ZombieChain. This side chain accepts Ether and LOOM tokens as a means of payment, and will support Bitcoin as a means of payment in the future.

The next sidechain that the Loom team will release is GameChain. The team is currently testing the Alpha version of Zombie Battleground with GameChain. This side chain is the side chain of PlasmaChain, so it is not directly connected to the Ethereum mainnet.

GameChain will be used as an interface for many games, allowing users to play games without much direct interaction with the underlying technology. For example, in Zombie Battleground, cards will be stored in PlasmaChain, and other core back-end components such as game scheduling, competitions, player rankings, etc. will be performed on GameChain.

Currently GameChain is only used inside Loom, but the team plans to eventually open this side chain to third-party game developers.

Loom also has a planned sidechain, SocialChain. The team is currently running a social DAPP using this side chain:

DelegateCall. DelegateCall allows users to earn tokens through their contributions to the network (similar to reddit's karma system). In addition to earning karma, users can also exchange their earned points into ERC-20 tokens called DelegateCall.

Similar to GameChain, Loom also intends to eventually open SocialChain to third-party social DAPP developers.

The Loom team has made great strides in leveraging Ethereum's scalability improvement technology, but they still have a long way to go. Even the team’s flagship game Zombie Battleground is still only an Alpha version for private testing.

Loom hopes to give end users a seamless and smooth experience. Although it uses blockchain technology, it shields many technical details and try to avoid users encountering complicated operations in use.

The progress and development of Loom is worthy of attention.

Smart Livestock Farming

Use modern information technology to accurately grasp the growth process and growth dynamics of poultry, conduct dynamic monitoring and trend analysis of poultry at various growth stages, and provide fast and efficient remote guidance for poultry breeding, house management and epidemic prevention and slaughter, and improve the ability of fine breeding and house management, timely detection of problems in breeding, formulate technical countermeasures for poultry breeding and house management, put forward poultry breeding and house management opinions or suggestions, and better carry out technical guidance to promote poultry production.
Collect valuable like animal body temperature, shed temperature, humidity, ammonia concentration, individual animal diet data, estrus indicators of female animals, abnormal changes in weight, and even individual animal mood indicators, etc.
These are not just data. They can be analyzed and excavated in depth through system and software integration, which can provide a basis for the farm to make better decisions, realize intelligent management, and increase operating income.
