Lumileds released the first plant lighting line in the product line: LUXEON SunPlus, which provides the specific wavelength illumination required for plant lighting.
According to the rapid expansion of the world's population and the increasing number of residents in the city, it is a problem for the entire horticultural industry to allow more food to be properly used in indoor spaces. At the same time, indoor vertical cultivation can save about 90% of water resources at the same time.
The LUXEON SunPlus 20 Series is suitable for use in greenhouse cultivation, especially in the auxiliary mode of the patio light, which provides 24 hours a day and a full year of illumination.
Farmers can develop a single illumination scheme using specific wavelengths, such as blue light (420-480 nm) and red light (620-670 nm). Or use multiple illumination schemes, that is, with multiple LEDs to form the ideal light output, to match the illumination required by the different growth stages of the plant, such as different lighting requirements during the stages of sowing, germination, growth and flowering.
The LUXEON SunPlus 20 Series consists of 2.0 x 2.0 mm high power LEDs including blue (440-460 nm), deep red (655-675 nm), far red (720-750 nm), green (broad spectrum) and cool white light.

Vertical farms use multi-layered growth trays, and the required illumination is usually a consistent, high-resolution lighting system. The LUXEON SunPLUS 35 series consists of blue (440-460nm), 3.5 x 3.5mm purple medium power LED chips in cyan, white and three different colors. Lumileds' violet LEDs use highly efficient blue and red phosphors to create a highly consistent light effect for continued crop growth.
Lumileds' violet LED chip series is between 400-700nm. Violet LED (2.5% blue light) stimulates stem growth and flowering, 12.5% ​​blue light purple LED promotes overall growth, and 25% blue LED can stimulate leaf development of leaf.
