NVIDIA Official Confirmation: GT 640M and Above for Kepler Architecture

Today NVIDIA published an article on the official blog describing the Aspire Timeline M3 Ultra, Acer's latest addition to the Ultrabook. NVIDIA introduced that this notebook is the world's first Ultrabook with GeForce GT 640M alone and 15-inch LCD screen.

NVIDIA said that although the current generation of Ultrabooks has improved their endurance performance and are lighter, graphics computing capabilities are still far from adequate for some users with game requirements or special applications. The Acer Timeline M3 Ultra breaks this bottleneck with the combination of the latest Intel Core processors (which you understand) and the NVIDIA Kepler architecture. The Geforce GT 640M based on the Kepler architecture uses the 28nm process technology and provides Optimus technology to minimize power consumption, which is very important for Ultrabook.

According to NVIDIA's statement, there will be more use of the Ultrabook in the future. The previous reports of this site also provide strong evidence.
