The author believes that there is nothing wrong with the development of the industry, but the feeling of giving people is a bit too radical. Regardless of the quality and performance of the domestic MOCVD machine, the premise is that the imported MOCVD machine has a large area of ​​inventory, and the MOCVD machine made in China is difficult to play.

Some people have also questioned that in order to break the patent monopoly of foreign manufacturers, China has made efforts to develop MOCVD machines, so that the entire industry chain, Chinese companies have the right to speak. Japan and South Korea do not have MOCVD machines, and the LED lighting brands are the same in the world.

Then again, under the premise of high concentration of LED chip industry, LED light source currently accounts for a lower proportion of the cost of LED application products. Some insiders believe that in the field of LED lighting, the cost of LED light source will reach in the future. A few cents per watt is almost negligible in the cost of the entire luminaire.

In fact, patents are not only available in the upstream of LEDs. The price reduction of LED applications is not only a matter of spending a lot of money on domestic MOCVD machines. Energy saving and environmental protection is very important, but money should also be spent on the cutting edge.
