Seoul Semiconductor said that the high-efficiency Acriche product, which is powered by AC power, has been mass-produced in February. At the same time as the mass production began this month, more than 150 lm/W of similar products have been developed.

The 150lm/W product will be put into mass production before the end of this year. The Acriche will replace halogen, incandescent or fluorescent lamps on a larger scale. Since September last year, Europe has banned the sale of incandescent bulbs above 100W. In the future, all countries will legally prohibit the use of all inefficient existing light bulbs.

Acriche is a light source that can be driven without a DC-AC converter, which is relatively more power efficient, less expensive and more environmentally friendly. The disadvantage of shortening the life due to the converter (life expectancy of less than 20,000 hours) is solved by eliminating the need for additional devices or circuits such as converters. As a result, two of the world's three largest lighting companies have adopted Acriche mass production lighting products. In addition, more than 100 companies have begun to expand their use.
