Skoda will release the first electric car at the Shanghai Auto Show next month

According to British media reports on March 23, Skoda previously announced that it will release its first electric car at the 2017 Shanghai International Auto Show that opened in April. Recently, Skoda announced the car's first preview.

Skoda CEO Bernhard Maier said in an interview during the Geneva Motor Show this month that the car will be a forward-looking model of the Skoda electric car. The trailer map shows the general outline of the vehicle. It is a coupe-style SUV with a front and rear headlights set similar to Kodiaq.

Bernhard Maier pointed out that Skoda will first introduce plug-in hybrid version of the speed in 2019. Followed by a pure electric vehicle, using new technology, is currently planned to be listed in 2020, when the supporting infrastructure of electric vehicles will be more perfect.

According to ChrisTIan Strube, director of research and development at Skoda, the Skoda electric car is based on the Volkswagen MEB platform and will be equipped with a range of advanced technologies that are very attractive.
