Ultra-efficient LED light

Not long ago, scientists at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) published an article in the American Physical Review Letter that they found in a study that LED bulbs can output more than 230% of their input power.

This seems to violate the conventional laws of physics and become another "perpetual motion machine." But the facts speak louder than words: the data shows that when the LED voltage is reduced, the transmitted light power decreases linearly, while the input power decreases exponentially. At some point, its luminous power exceeds the input power.

In this experiment, LED lamps produced nearly 68 picowatts of light efficiency at 30 picowatts of power. Although the results of the experiment are gratifying, it will take time to bring this ultra-efficient LED into the market.
