Multimeter to detect the quality of smt diode

Before the test, set the multimeter's switch to the RX1K position of the ohm range (be careful not to use the RX1 position, so as not to burn the SMD diode due to excessive current), and then short-circuit the red and black test leads to perform ohm zero adjustment.

Positive characteristic test. Put the black test lead (positive in the meter) of the multimeter on the positive pole of the SMD diode, and the red test lead (the negative pole in the meter) on the negative of the SMD diode. If the needle does not swing to 0 but stops in the middle of the dial, the resistance at this time is the forward resistance of the SMD diode. Generally, the smaller the forward resistance, the better. If the forward resistance is 0, it means that the die is short-circuited and damaged. If the forward resistance is close to infinity, it means that the die is open. Neither short-circuited nor open-circuited pipes can be used.

Reverse characteristic test. Put the red test lead of the multimeter on the positive pole of the SMD diode, and the black test lead on the negative pole of the SMD diode. If the pointer is at or close to infinity, the tube is qualified.
