The lighting concept of Snog's second frozen yogurt shop in South Kensington, England, is still very surprising, with its chief designer, Dominic Harris, saying that different lighting effects will be created in different outlets.
But the yogurt shop will use more common elements to create a strong brand identity, such as the wall is pink, painted on the wall, the same white glass, decoration and installation, vinyl floor Painted with an imaginary grass pattern.
The comfort of the yogurt shop allows more diners to spend time here.
“These things are all the same,†Harris said. “But one thing is the difference in lighting, and this will be the different styles of each store.â€
The Snog yogurt shop in South Kensington has a conspicuous ceiling, as more than 700 illuminated glass bulbs are suspended from above. These glass bulbs are 80mm in diameter and are regularly spaced 150mm apart, but the height of the drop It is different. Each bulb is internally equipped with six IG LEDs from Nichia Corporation, rated at 2.5W.
The entire lighting design changes over time and season to create an “eternal summerâ€
“Normal LED devices are equipped with LED drivers, but in order to save money and speed up the process, there are only LEDs in each glass bulb,†Harris said. “All drives are on the other end of the two-meter cable, all hot-swapped. Plug in, so if one of the glass bulbs breaks, we can release it from the ceiling and its connection to the cable is USB."
Harris said: "The light on these floors is evenly distributed. When customers walk around the store, they realize that they are moving in the light and shadow. I want to make the counter display pure and as small as possible, so I don't want a very bright light channel lighting, but lighting can show good color reproduction."
The unique "Digital Sky" lighting design of the South Kensington Snog Yogurt Shop was shortlisted for this year's Lighting Design Award.
