1 Current status of street lighting management
1) The lighting equipment has poor uniformity and low level of intelligence. It does not have the ability to modify the switching time remotely and cannot modify the switching time according to the actual situation. It is a waste of energy and increases financial burden;
2) Scattered street light equipment, less management personnel, difficult management, unable to monitor equipment operation status in real time, accurately and comprehensively, and lack of flexible control methods; 3) Manual inspection has large workload, low efficiency, high cost, and wastes manpower and material resources , Financial resources, lack of effective fault early warning mechanism.
2 Introduction to ZigBee
ZigBee is an emerging short-range, low complexity, low power consumption, low transmission rate, low cost two-way wireless networking communication technology. It is a technology between RFID (Radio Frequency IdenTIficaTIon, Radio Frequency Identification) and Bluetooth.
3 Introduction to GPRS

5 System working principle
Use the configuration software as the control platform of the host computer, and communicate with the field controller PLC through GPRS. The monitoring center software sends action instructions to each field controller through the GPRS network, so that the field controller can complete various configuration and data collection work, and analyze and process the data sent by the field controller. The field controller receives the signal sent by the single lamp controller through the ZigBee wireless communication device, analyzes it and sends information to the monitoring center through the GPRS communication system, so as to realize the remote wireless control of the street lamp, as shown in FIG.
6 System components
The system consists of 3 parts: on-site controller, single-lamp controller, and monitoring center.
6.1 Field controller
It is composed of PLC independent control module, GPRS communication module, ZigBee wireless communication module, etc. It completes functions such as data acquisition, control output, data communication, and fault alarm. 6.2 Single lamp controller
