Backing up and restoring the registry through the registry editor under pure DOS has previously explained how to use the registry editor to back up and restore the registry under the WINDOWS environment. In fact, the "Regedit.exe" registry editor can not only be used in the WINDOWS environment It can also be used under DOS.
Although the function of the registry editor in the DOS environment is not as powerful as in the WINDOWS environment, it also has its unique features. For example, the registry is backed up in WINDOWS through the registry editor, but after the system has a problem, you cannot enter WINDOWS. At this time, you can restore the registry through the registry editor under pure DOS.
It should be said that in the DOS environment, it is rare to back up the registry. Generally, it is sufficient to back up in WINDOWS, but in some special cases, this method is very practical.
