The size of the light emitting diode used by the LED lamp is 100 times smaller than that of the conventional light emitting diode. It can be bent and deformed, can maintain a lower temperature, and has a longer life than existing LEDs.
The continuous development of LED technology has led LED lamps to accelerate the replacement of incandescent and even fluorescent lamps. Because it has a very high luminous efficiency, it can provide more light flux, but it consumes lower energy. This is an advantage unmatched by incandescent and fluorescent lamps.
Song Yuzhou strives to develop a new production model to improve certain characteristics of LED lamps. It uses a silicon substrate, using a novel corrosion method, a unique layout and innovative thermal management methods. These manufacturing technologies miniaturize the design of LED lamps, and at the same power, the resulting temperature is lower than current LED lamps.
In the future, researchers will find ways to make the device stretchable so that it can be used on any surface, such as bendable display screens, biomedical devices that adapt to the body's curvilinear surfaces.
